In 1997, the Object Management Group adopted UML. It is standardized modeling language used for Object Oriented Software Development Methodologies. UML Diagrams are graphical representation of software system and representing a system along with its main actors, roles, actions, classes. The UML diagrams are mainly categorized into S tructural diagrams and B ehavioral diagrams. Structural diagrams are static view or structure of a system . It is widely used in the documentation of software architecture. Behavioral diagrams are dynamic view of a system or the behavioral of a system, which describes the functioning of the system.

It was written in Java and supports different operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, macOS and Linux.
